ABOUT

​Our association started in 1987.  We represent 23 state law enforcement agencies.  NSLEOA is the second largest state law enforcement association in Nevada.  We represent Nevada state law enforcement officers 24-7 and are your voice in the legislature and Washington DC.  Our parent organization, the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers [NAPSO] represents 16 statewide associations.  Our mission is:

* Provide the membership a legal defense plan.

 

* Provide representation at the Nevada Legislature, the United States Congress, Nevada Commissions and Committees, promote and project professional state law enforcement officers.

 

* Publish a periodical Newsletter.

 

* Carry out day-to-day business which is in the best interest of the membership.

 

* Support the Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial in Carson City and other Nevada charities as deemed appropriate through monetary grants.

 

The NSLEOA is an affiliate of the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers, CWA Local 9110, AFL/CIO (NAPSO). We are a very strong association that provides our members with the BEST legal defense plan. Because we have retained several law firms, there can never be a conflict of interest and you will receive the best representation available. (Retired members do not receive legal defense.)

 

NSLEOA also has three labor representatives that cover the entire state. Our Association is the only labor organization that provides members dual coverage.

Lori is a retired veteran of the Nevada Highway Patrol. She spent thirty years on the job and understands member issues.

Her knowledge of state law enforcement operations and laws protecting our officers is invaluable.
